Crew installing emergency tarp at sunrise
05Storm Restoration

The wind drops. Our trucks roll.

The hours after a storm decide whether you pay for one repair or three. We tarp first so the water stops, document while it's still fresh, and rebuild with the same crew that wrote the scope. Site Walk Program members get our trucks before new calls.

Active damage? Call before you tarp it yourself.

03Response workflow

Four hours to dry.

01

Triage

We confirm building access, hazards, and the scope of immediate water risk.

02

Tarp & dry-in

Emergency tarp, board-up, and weather seal so secondary damage stops accumulating.

03

Document

Photo and measurement report sent to ownership and insurance the same day.

04

Restore

Permanent repair scoped, priced, and self-performed. One contractor through the rebuild.

04Insurance navigation

We have been on the other side of every adjuster call.

Scoped and priced photo reports, COI in hand, three FL licenses on the paperwork. We make the claim easy to approve and easy to pay, so the repair happens, not the appeal.
Emergency line

Day or night during named events. Members of the Annual Site Walk Program go to the front of the line.

Our project manager meets the carrier on site, with the original report in hand.

04
Supplement

Hidden damage uncovered during dry-in or tear-off is added to the claim with documentation.

05

Final scope and pricing accepted. We coordinate mortgage company endorsements where required.

06
Build

Permanent repair scheduled, executed, and warrantied, by the same company that wrote the scope.

06What we document

Evidence wins claims.

We arrive with drones, moisture meters, and a checklist refined over decades of carrier work.
  • Roof field, perimeter and penetrations
  • Soffit, fascia, gutters and downspouts
  • Windows, doors and storefront systems
  • Stucco, siding and exterior sealants
  • Interior ceilings, walls and flooring
  • HVAC, electrical and rooftop equipment
  • Pool cages, screen enclosures and lanais
  • Detached structures and site features
07Pricing transparency

What an emergency call costs.

Anxious homeowners get gouged by storm chasers. Here is what reasonable emergency response looks like.
Emergency tarp (residential)

$450 – $1,200 depending on roof access, pitch and square footage covered. Credited toward permanent repair if you hire us for the rebuild.

Board-up (windows / openings)

$95 per opening for standard sizes. Reusable plywood, screw-mounted to framing.

Commercial dry-in

Priced per building. Free assessment for Site Walk Program members; we're already there.

Insurance documentation

Always included with emergency response. Photo report, measurements, Xactimate scope.

We're licensed contractors, not public adjusters. We document conditions and provide a defensible scope, your adjuster makes the call on coverage.

08Heads up

Public adjuster vs. contractor.

Two different roles. You usually want both, and you should never pay one to do the other's job.
Public adjuster
Negotiates your claim

Licensed by the State of Florida. Represents you against the carrier. Usually paid as a % of the settlement.

SunSmart (contractor)
Documents & does the work

Licensed FL contractor. Writes the scope, performs the repair, warranties the install. Paid for the work, not for the claim.
